OWN THE FUTURE · PRIVACY
How we handle your address.
Short version: we store your email address so that we can send the newsletter, we never sell it on, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.
Who is responsible
Own The Future is a publication from AIX. The data controller is AP7X Capital AB, company registration number (org.nr) 559476-2840. Questions about your personal data are answered at hello@ownthefuture.se.
What we collect
Your email address, and the time at which you confirmed your subscription. We do not ask for your name, and we do not build any profile of you. In addition, two technical details are stored: the IP address the signup was made from, which documents your consent, and information about which links are clicked in the emails, which our email provider records.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use the address for a single purpose: to send the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. You give your consent in two steps, first by filling in the form and then by clicking in the confirmation email. We send nothing until the second step is done.
Who else gets to see it
The newsletter is sent using MailerLite, which processes the address on our behalf as a data processor and stores it within the EU. Beyond that we do not share the address with anyone, and we never sell it.
For how long
We keep the address for as long as you subscribe. When you unsubscribe it is deleted, except for the minimal information needed so that we do not add you again by mistake.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to withdraw your consent at any time. The easiest way to do the last of these is through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing us. If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten), IMY.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies for marketing or tracking. We measure how many people visit the site and which pages are read, but the measurement is cookie-free: nothing is stored in your browser, we cannot identify you from it, and the statistics are never linked to your email address.
